David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason

All'apice della notorietà, mentre a Parigi si abbozzava The Dark Side of the Moon, i Pink Floyd ricevettero l'offerta di girare un film-concerto, cosa già realizzata da altre band; il regista Adrian Maben ebbe l'idea di girarlo in uno scenario assolutamente anticonvenzionale e scelse l'anfiteatro di Pompei.
Il film, Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii, apparve nel 1972 e resta tuttora un passaggio memorabile della storia del rock, sia per l'esecuzione in uno spazio vuoto (non più ripetuta da altri, se non come citazione di questa), sia per gli effetti audio-visivi utilizzati.
